Governance

I have extensive practical experience in managing governance, and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Institute of Administrative Management. This work includes designing voluntary organisation constitutions, preparing documentation such as schemes of delegation, and leading work to prepare and guide the 2012 National Library of Scotland Bill through the Scottish Parliament. I have also managed and integrated a wide range of ‘compliance’ functions including audit, risk, project management, data protection and health and safety.

How I can help:

  • reviewing accountability, Board/committee arrangements
  • establishing effective, proportionate ‘compliance’ arrangements
  • development of risk and audit strategy
  • designing ‘shared services’ governance arrangements
  • one-off investigations, reviews of complaints, non-executive roles.
